EQUIP GROUP LIST:

HEBREWS: JESUS IS SUPREME - Combined Class
Combined Group // Sanctuary // Pastors Nelson Gonzalez & Christina Sattesahn
The book of Hebrews teaches us that Jesus is supreme over everything—He is our high priest who makes intercession for all of God’s children. When difficulties come and we are tempted to abandon the faith, the answer is to keep our eyes on Jesus and rely on His faithfulness in all situations. Join us as we study the writings of Hebrews to gain a deeper understanding of God’s grace and provision through Jesus.
PEACE (BIBLE MAPPING) -Women's Class
Women’s Group // Room 117 // Shelly Thrasher
Are you looking for peace in this world? True peace can only come from God. This class will take us on a journey to understanding the beautiful peace the Lord offers when we trust Him. We will use the James Method Verse Mapping template to dig deep into Scripture on our own throughout the week to identify and define keywords, study verse context, examine multiple Bible translations, find cross-references, etc. When we gather on Wednesdays, we will reflect and discuss what our study of scripture has revealed to us about God and his plan for us regarding peace. Verse mapping templates will be provided in the group meetings, but participants can also purchase their own verse map journals for $40 at www.thejamesmethod.com.
PRAYER MATTERS - Men's Class
Men’s Group // Room 120 // Shannon Thrasher
Prayer is essential to the Christian faith, but many followers of Jesus still struggle to make it part of their daily lives. Join us as we learn what the Bible teaches us about prayer and how we can apply those truths to become the men God calls us to be in Christ.
PEACEMAKING - Combined Class
Combined Group // Prayer Chapel // Pastor Phil McGechie
Conflict is an inevitable part of life that is intricately tied into how we reflect God in this world.  God calls his people to be peacemakers who actively pursue and spread peace. Still, its an area that many of us struggle with because its just plain HARD! In this small group study, we will seek to understand conflict and learn how our response to it matters. We will come to see conflict as an opportunity to glorify God as we develop the skills necessary for self-examination, biblical confrontation and negotiation, and dealing with unreasonable people.
TEACH US TO PRAY - Young Adults (18-25)
Young Adults (18-25) // Room 106 // Dr. Kimberlee Mendoza
The Lord’s Prayer may seem outdated and irrelevant to those of us who come from more modern church traditions, but it is one of the best short summaries of how Christians should pray and believe about God, the world, and humankind. If you want to better understand and live out your Christian faith, join us.
GROWING A GODLY MARRIAGE - Married & Engaged Couples
Married & Engaged Couple’s// Room 109 // Jeff & Karen Earhart
Whether you have been married for decades or are just about to embark on this life-long voyage of grace-filled love, this group is sure to encourage you in your relationship. Join other couples for this video/discussion-based group as we discover how God can use our relationships with our spouses (or future spouses) as a motivation to love God more and to better reflect the character of his Son. *This is a requirement for all couples requesting a PFA pastor to officiate their marriage ceremony.
GROWTH TRACK - Combined Class
Combined Group // Room 105 // Matt & Maria Horton
Growth Track is for those looking to take the next step in connecting with the Plainview First family. Its sessions are designed to help you grow in your relationship with God, in connection with others, and in your God-given purpose. Growth Track meets the 1st -3rd Wednesdays of each month.
